It was exactly as advertised. Great functional wire for several mods I’m planning to do on my guitars.
I just recently retired and I’m working my way up to building a tribute guitar for my son, probably a Tele, who passed away from an acute asthma attack 2 weeks before he was going to graduate with his double major in Actuarial Science, and Applied Mathematics. That’s going to require some soldering skill, and hence the wire.
With this wire I’m going begin modding my PRS with some treble bleeds on my pots, and I’m going to eventually going to put in some push/pull pots.
I have a PhD in theoretical physics, but I skated through my practical electronics courses, so Dylan is helping me learn something I should have learned about 35 years ago. I mean, I could, and have, waxed poetics about Gause's Law, or Maxwell's Equations for hours, but that doesn’t get metal soldered to metal.
Dylan is my electronics professor now, and I’m actually paying attention this time around. I’m starting off slow, making guitar cables and simple mods, and I thought his wire would help me in that regard. It’ll keep the cavity clean and neat enough to satisfy my anal retentive nature.
Later taters.
