Significant upgrade from a stock split P-Bass pickup, but retains P-Bass character

Purchased this as a replacement/upgrade from a P-bass stock pickup on a 40th anniversary Squier P-bass. My impressions of it after install was it increased the output from the stock and retained the tonal signature of a standard P-Bass. It improved output and clarity through the range but really didn't become over-powering and loud for the sake of being loud. Improved output and clarity=+++
